We believe that if you have come to faith in Jesus Christ for salvation from sin, guilt and death, your first step as a follower of Jesus is baptism. Through this ancient symbolic practice, you publicly identify with Christ in his death and resurrection. You show a watching world that just as he physically died on the cross, so you have spiritually died to sin and just as he physically rose from the dead, so you have been spiritually raised to new life.
